Chairman & CEO

Dilip Amdekar, ASTML CEO, is Chartered Accountant from India and has over 25 years of experience in Accounting and Finance in the Corporate Sector and was a Group CFO of a Dyes and Chemical company and has worked in India, Thailand, UK, USA, France and Italy with senior management experience at the Board level.

Since 2004, Dilip entered the education field and has successfully developed a partnership with a reputed Government Higher Education Institution in the UK and has promoted entrepreneurship education. As a CEO and founder of Academy of Science Technology and Management, he is keen to make a positive social impact on the community.

Sushil Rapatwar, BE, MBA

COO

Sushil, ASTML,STEM COO, is an Engineer and has completed his Masters in Business Administration from Manchester Business School. He is a PRINCE2 and PMP certified Project and Programme Manager with over 20 years of experience and has worked in India and Singapore before relocating to the UK. He has experience of working with BP, Virgin Media, Centrica, Arthur Andersen, and CenturyLink in various domains related to information technology and application development.

Along with project management rigour and discipline he also brings in the rich experience in business change management (process and regulatory) along with simultaneous project delivery capability, effective senior stakeholder management and ability to resolve complex issues.

Dr Madhavi Amdekar

Madhavi is a recognised academician and a teacher with over 25 years of international experience in the field of education. During her career, she has trained and inspired hundreds of students and teachers in her areas of expertise. Qualified as a B.A./B.Ed. in Mathematics, Madhavi also has a Ph. D. in religious studies. Over the years, she has worked with reputed educational institutes in the UK with a special focus on English and Maths.

Madhavi understands deep-rooted issues of Maths anxiety which are believed to affect about a quarter of the population across the UK. In her teaching, she involves methods, practices, and care to help teachers and students deal with the common fear of “I don’t have a maths brain.” Using metacognition Madhavi focuses on encouraging and applauding good teamwork in classrooms. She understands the need to improve national numeracy skills and using her own experience and innovation makes her best attempts to contribute to the bigger cause.

She was a teacher in IES Modern English School in the eighties and she has published a book – “1001 illustrated verbs” and is an avid writer in Indian daily newspapers.

Bill is a leading global expert on metacognition and he leads the Centre for Real-World Learning, at the University of Winchester. He has designed, developed and delivered our course on metacognition in STEM.

He is a prolific, award-winning writer, and has authored and co-authored over forty books and chapters and many peer-reviewed papers.

Dr Lynne Bianchi

Lynne is a leading global expert on metacognition and she is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering and Director of the Science & Engineering Education Research and Innovation Hub which she founded in 2014 at The University of Manchester. Along with Bill she has designed, developed and delivered our course on metacognition in STEM.

Dr Lynne has over 20 years of experience in curriculum development, innovation and research in primary science and engineering education. Her work has been recognised through national awards for Great Science Share for Schools and Greater Manchester Engineering Challenge campaigns.

Languages

Amrutha, popularly known as Amrutha Langs, was raised multilingual, converted from a polyglot to a hyperglot by passion and an educator by profession.

She speaks 22 languages. She works as an independent translator, interpreter, teacher, corporate trainer, writer, and language digger.

Computer Science Teaching

Jon is a leading computing specialist who is designing our courses on metacognition in computing. He is a computing lead at Crumpsall Lane, CAS Outreach Coordinator, and Barefoot Ambassador.

He is a visiting academic at the University of Manchester.
